SLE is an autoimmune disorder characterized by production of antibodies against self body tissues.
SLE can be triggered by drugs also.
However, whatever may the cause of SLE, treatment consists of drugs which suppress the exaggerated immune response by the body and they are called immuno-suppressants.
Stem cell transplant does not have any role in treatment of SLE.
