Question : I'm 28, female, and reasonably fit. I am suffering from palpitations, elevated heart beat (140+ when walking gently and 96-105 when standing). I am also experiencing excessive sweating including night sweats, unexplained weight gain, swollen ankles, extreme fatigue (sleeping or resting 12 hrs a day) and my feet go blue when I stand up in the morning or sit still for any length of time. I am not particularly stressed and I know my thyroid is fine. I don't have diabetes and my blood pressure is fine, if slightly low. What could this be?

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

You are experiencing tachycardia on walking steady that may be related to:
- anemia
- anxiety
- electrolyte imbalance
- cardiac issues especially arrhythmias

If you were my patient I would recommend to do the following examinations to find out what is causing your tachycardia:
- blood work
- hormone levels (especially thyroid hormone levels)
- ecg
- cardiac echo
- holter monitoring
- stress test

Hope this will be of help!
Wish you health!
