Brief Answer:
Lymph node

Detailed Answer:
Hello

Thanks for the query

Most tender lymph nodes of the neck are secondary to a throat infection in the recent past. It will regress on its own once the infection settles down. However if the lymphnodes remain tender and it does not regress within a week and he starts spiking fever please approch an ENT specialist

I hope I was of help, if you have any further queries please get back to me
