Question : About a year ago I started having problems with my Aquiles tendons, they would swell for no apparent reason while exercising, now my ankles are swollen to, what could this be?

                                    Brief Answer:
Tendonitis or bursitis can be the reason.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Tendonitis or bursitis in that area can be reason for your problem. Vitamin D or magnesium deficiency also can cause this.
You should get a local examination with an orthopedician to rule out this. X rays might be required to rule out any calcification on the site of tendon insertion. Vitamin D levels in blood should be checked also.
Magnesium supplementation and vitamin D supplement in case of its deficiency will be helpful also. You can apply ice packs locally and apply anti inflammatory gels containing ketoprofen.
Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
