Question : Hi I work in a sample prep lab quite manual work and developed tennis elbow in right arm followed a week later by trigger thumb in left hand. I have been feeling tired, slightly depressed although work long hours and shift work. I am generally quite active am 51 years old, eat well don't smoke. Someone at work was just diagnosed with XXXXXXX river as we live in north west Australia and I was wondering if I could possibly have it too. I read a patient story that they have cloudy thinking and I have forgotten a couple of things at work that I would not usually forget and often don't get a full nights sleep, my thumb will get looked at when I get to the city but it is strange to have tennis elbow occur at same time

Brief Answer: Not suggestive of XXXXXXX river. Detailed Answer: Hello, Thanks for your query. Do not worry , your symptoms are not suggestive of XXXXXXX river. Tennis elbow and trigger finger may be the result of repeated strain of this area due to work .Tasks that require repetitive grasping or the prolonged use of tools may case both these condition at the same time. I suggest you to give rest to the part for some time. You can consult physiotherapist for help. Physiotherapy like ultrasound and interferential therapy will give quick relief. Strengthening gradual exercises will help in reducing pain. Eat a diet rich in fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables, nuts, milk, eggs, pulses and cereals. Drink 1-2 litres of water daily. Get 6-8 hours of refreshing sleep daily. I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query. Take care
