Brief Answer:
Occipital neuralgia to consider.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

You mean tension headaches, right?

Regarding to your pain localization, in my opinion, occipital neuralgia, a condition related to compression of upper cervical nerves that supply back and top of the head, should be considered.

Neurological examination and imaging studies of your neck ( CT scan, MRI ) are necessary to evaluate further this condition.

Since drugs you mentioned didn't improved your condition, other possible solutions should be evaluated to treat you, if the diagnosis will be confirmed.

Carbamazepine, gabapentin may be used to ease your symptoms.

Nerve blocks also may be used as a possible diagnostic tool and treatment also.

In rare cases surgery may be necessary.

Hope you found the answer helpful,

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Greetings.
