Question : I have been having terrible stomach pain. Can't get comfortable. Since I haven't eaten today I am vomiting, but just flem. What is a quick fix? I am miserable. Can't remember such stomach pain and I am 75.

To recapitulate: Female/75 - terrible stomach pain - can not remember to have such a pain till now - can't get comfortable - vomiting just flem - and feels it to be due to not eaten today - taken a couple of tums - wants to know quick fix ...
Such a terrible pain for the first time in life with vomiting, seemingly not relieved by tums indicates that you need the following:
Clinical evaluation by a Doctor, preferably a General Surgeon.
May need medicines in the form of injections as oral tablets/capsules will be vomited out becoming ineffective.
Urgent investigations:
EKG
X-ray of the abdomen in standing position
Ultrasonography
Tests of blood, urine and stool
Hence need to visit ER.
To re-emphasize, the oral medicines for pain and vomiting may not be effective if the vomiting continues.
