Question: I have thick skin (dark in color)near my butt crack (side).. been there for some time now..very small at first seems to be getting bigger, not itchy or pain in anyway...what do i need to do to get rid of it. I have asked this question here before and i was advised to use Clotrimazole 1% but it does not seem to help or release the problem instead it has been expanding. Please advice. Thank you

Brief Answer:
It seems to be a eczematous skin.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have gone through the picture that you uploaded. It seems to be a eczematous skin condition known as dermatitis. There may or may not be sense of itching at the affected area and if left untreated it might spread more.

I would recommend use of steroid like clop or clovate or cosvate over the affected area twice daily. Wear cotton undergarments to prevent skin irritation and no need to apply dettol or savlon over the dark area. You should remove hairs around those area by applying hair removal cream and then apply steroid cream which will give good results within 7 days.

For better results, I would recommend you try this cream under a dermatologist guidance.

Thanks and regards,
