Question: Do my nails appear healthy? They have ridges on them and aren't smooth. Also, a tiny dark link appears on 4th finger like 1 mm in size - what is that? I suspect definatley sinz deficency sinze I had regular moderate acne, and since I started taking zinc at 50mg a day it has stopped, but I wonder how long it will take for my nails to also improve if due to zinc? As I consume large amount of beers twice a week, I believe it made me low on zinc and vitamin b. So i supplement both.

Thanks

Brief Answer:
Take vitamin E

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Thanks for the query and photograph.
Your nails are appearing healthy but there is decrease in shine due to roughness.
It's good that you are taking zinc.
In addition you can also take Vitamin E and calcium supplements for a month.
Apply lactic acid and urea containing creams to your nail.
Various preparations like xerina, cotaryl etc are available.
You can use any of these.
This should help you.
Let me know if you have any other doubts.
Thank you.
