Brief Answer:
There are many alternatives to Ibuprofen.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query.

1. You can avoid ibuprofen and take paracetamol (Crocin) or a combination of paracetamol and tramadol (Ultracet). (Enzoflam) diclofenac sodium + paracetamol + serratiopeptidase is also a good option. Disperzyme is a water soluble tablet that you can use for mild inflammation. All these should be taken after meals.

2. Get your throat examined. Most sore throats are viral and will run their course. The need for any antibiotics for bacterial infections can be decided by your doctor.

3. Good hydration (warm fluids), anti-allergic medication, a medicated mouth wash (such as Betadine) and a soft, bland diet will help speed up the recovery.

4. Remember to get a throat swab and blood tests if there is no relief after 2-3 days of full medication.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.

Brief Answer:
You may take amoxclav. You will need a prescription form a local doctor.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for writing back.

1. You may take an antibiotic such as a combination of amoxicillin and clavulanic acid 625 mg twice a day for 5 days. There are many types of antibiotics/ supportive medications and your doctor will know the side effects that may be expected when the medication is prescribed.

2. You will require a prescription for an antibiotic. Hence it is better that you get yourself examined and let the treating doctor prescribe the antibiotic. I have already mentioned the supportive medications.

3. Medication should always be taken under medical supervision. As a policy, only generic medication guidelines are given over the internet. These are not a substitute for direct examination and treatment.

I hope that I have answered your query. If you have any more questions I will be available to answer them.

Regards.
