Brief Answer:
Proper antibiotic with nasal decongestant

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir,
I have gone through your query; it suggests that you may be suffering from the tonsillitis with rhinitis.
In this condition in our patient, I prescribed
1. Antibiotic containing amoxycillin and clavullinic acid 625mg three times a day for five days.
2. Nasal and systemic nasal decongestant such as otrivin nasal drop two drops three times a day with tablet fexofenadine 120 mg once a day for five days.
3. Steam inhalation as much as possible.
4. Avoid cold drinks, cold water and ice cream if you have.
5. Mild painkiller with analgesic and antiseptic mouth wash such as tantum mouth wash.

For proper diagnosis and better management consult your ENT specialist.

Thanks

Wish you good health

Thank you for your kind reply.

Though there is no nasal congestion, is it necessary to take nasal drops.?

Also I couldn't see prominent infections on the sides of tronsil walls, I can feel the pain at the base of the tongue and I was not able to see the infection. I can feel the pain when I give slight pressure on the throat above adam's apple. Do you still recommend the same drugs and dosage..?

Brief Answer:
Still recommond the same drug

Hi Sir,
I have gone through your follow up query and still recommend the same for five days.
After five days, if your condition not improve then better to go for the throat swab culture and antibiotic sensitivity and also consult with ENT specialist.
