                                            Throat swab, symptomatic treatment.
Detailed Answer:
Thank you for asking
I read your question and i understand your concern. Sore throat is mostly viral and quite often followed by flu or cold symptoms. Allergies, dryness in air specially out door, irritants and strained muscles of throat are commones causes of throat.
Usually a sore throat self resolves in a seven to 10 days time frame if viral. But one should always have a swab test done to rule out the cause.
Till then you get some aspirin gargles, salted warm water gargles, Drink plenty of fluids and hot warm beverages like tea coffee etc, consider lozenges and humidify the air for breathing using a humidifier at home. Some ibuprofen or acetaminophen for the fever should work.
I hope it helps. Take good care of yourself and dont forget to close the discussion please.
Regards
Khan
