Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Based on your description, such a pain at the base of the throat , as you described , can be originating in the throat / pharynx or esophagus. The throat needs to be examined. If there is evidence of pharyngitis then it should be treated promptly. If there is no such abnormality then GERD can be treated empirically with PPIs. If still there is no improvement then an upper GI endoscopy should be planned to look for esophagitis as the cause.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks
