Question : My mother has a large duodenum ulcer causing nausea ,pain and excess mucus in the throat .She is on a liquid diet for now. What is the best treatment for her condition?

omeprazole with domperidon

Hello,
I have read the details you have provided.
The best treatment would be twice a day PPI like omeprazole ,which she has already been prescribed. Adding a prokinetic like oral domperidone will help her with the nausea. Additionally she can be prescribed ondansetron tablets on an as required basis for nausea.

Could her excess throat mucus be related to the ulcer such as acid reflux?

Yes, the mucous could be due to reflux.
