Question: I struck my head hard in front top part of forehead 36 hours ago. I am experiencing strong head pain on the left side of my head. Pain is throbbing. Pain comes and goes. Both my eyes respond to flashlight normally. What do you think?

Brief Answer:
nothing serious probably but needs assessment

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

since you've had no neurological symptoms besides the headache it's probably nothing serious. Serious headache 36 hours after the event is a good reason for investigation. I would have asked for a computed tomography, just to be sure no internal bleeding has occurred and to exclude any fractures. The response to the flashlight is not helping so much, because if such a sign was present, you would be much worse (probably unconscious!).

The most serious injuries are usually associated by loss of consciousness right after the injury. Memory problems are common.

I hope you find my comments helpful!
