Suggest Treatment For Throbbing Pain In The Navel

Question: Intense/pulsating/throbbing pain belly button level. Begins gradually, intensifies, extremely painful, the after 40-50 seconds gradually decreases. Lower abdomin area but throbbing seems to be felt radiating around the back, but most intense directly beneath belly button.

No nausea, vomiting fever no changes in bowel movements no alteration in bowel movements only pain during episode. No loss of appetite. Episodes few and far between. I apologize for omitting that I have been taking Ranitidine 150 mg tabs that work for heartburn. Would this be ok to continue or do you recommend a switch to Omeprozole? And what is Bentyl?How can I make sure it isn't biliary colic?
Should I be taking the Ranitidine regularly rather than as needed for heartburn?
0 changes in urinary and yes the first episode came on and it was mild but happened right after a meal.

* Recommendations at present

- Consume soft , light diet .
- Avoid oily , spicy , non veg , hot beverages .
- It is okay to continue ranitidine ( 150 ) mg morning and evening with sips of
water on empty stomach , no need to take omeprazole then .

- Bentyl is antispasmodic containing dicyclomine for the control of colicky pain
in a better precise manner , you can opt from the pharmacist with other
brand name also .

* Features of biliary colic

- Usually located in right upper abdomen , below epigastrium in some cases .
- Associated vomiting , nausea .
- Yellow urine , yellow sclera in case of biliary obstruction or jaundice .
- Alterations in appetite , fever in cases of infection of biliary system .

* Ultrasound examination is recommended for the final diagnosis .
