Question : I was prescribed percocets back in 2012, and it gave me tightness in my chest on the left side. I never went back to the doctor thinking it would go away, but it never did. It kind hurts now and it bothers me. Is there anything that will cure it?

Brief Answer:
Explained

Detailed Answer:
Hello and welcome

I appreciate your concern

Based on your description, it's unlikely to be percocet which is responsible for the chest pain and tightness. It can be related to GERD or dyspepsia as well as costochondritis. To be on the safe side an ekg should be done as a baseline to rule out a cardiac cause. If the EKG is normal with no chest wall tenderness then PPIs can be advised along with prokinetics such as itopride for treatment.

please consult your doctor before taking any further course of action
