Jock itch is usually treated with topical antifungal creams.
Various preparations that can be used are clotrimazole cream or terbinafine cream or sertaconazole cream on the affected areas twice daily for 2-3 weeks.
In unresponsive and resistant cases oral antifungals like tablet terbinafine or capsule itraconazole can be added.
