Question: Hi There, Was kicked by a horse on side of my mid shin. This happened Tuesday. I have been diligently icing since. While it seems to be improving (can walk better) I have swelling still and tingling sensation up and down my skin to foot which I'm wondering is normal. Feels like little sparks. Not all the time but when I put weight on my forward foot. There is still one area that is like a goose egg. Did not have it check out just treating home.

Brief Answer:
Considerations

Detailed Answer:
hello and thank you for sending the question.

It looks like the swelling in your leg is causing some nerve compression. This is most likely giving you the sensation that you have described.

I think you should have a physician evaluate your leg in order to make sure that this is the case. Other considerations include infection or possibly instructional bloodflow or blood clot.

For the reasonable I think we should buy local medical is indicated for you.

most likely the injury will slowly heal with supportive care what you have been doing so far but I think to be on the safe side it would be reasonable for you to have this evaluated. Thank you again for sharing your health concern with us.

Sincerely,

Dr. Galamaga
