Question : I have had a slight tingling feeling in my left arm for about a month or so. From the upper arm to fingertips. Comes and goes. Onset usually when I sit at a table to read. Goes away when I stand up. Other arm not affected. No other symptoms accompany it.

Brief Answer:
Could be due to some nerve compression at level of neck vertebrae.

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for asking on HealthcareMagic.

I have gone through the details and the problem seems to be occuring due to nerve compression, possibly at the level of the cervical vertebrae. A clinical examination as well as an X ray of the cervical spine - AP and lateral will throw proper light on the matter. I would encourage you to visit a doctor and to get yourself evaluated.

However, you can try static neck exercises at home at see if it makes a difference. You can google out for 'static neck exercises' and will get to know the techniques which are actually very simple. Practice them and see if that makes a difference. Proper sleep posture is also important.

Let me know if I could help further.

Regards
