Question : Hi, I have had two episodes where I have a tingling sensation going up both sides of my body starting at the waist to my shoulders and yesterday it included pain across the top of my chest followed by diarrhea . When it happened last week I was lightheaded for a couple of hours but then after the diarrhea past I was fine. Until yesterday when it happened again. The pain across my chest stopped after about the second time at hitting the restroom but the tingling sensations going up my sides lasted for about another hour off and on. I take medication for high blood pressure and I do have a stomach problem that I take Omeprazole 40mg for. Other than that I'm healthy.
Brief Answer:
Atypical seizures/EEG

Hi xxxxxxxxx,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist, here to answer your query.
The symptoms which you have mentioned are bizarre, to fit into any specific disease. However, atypical seizures and anxiety can present sometimes in bizarre ways.
So, an EEG may be of help , if done in a time frame close to such event to show any abnormal electrical activity of brain. Further, antianxiety medicines may be put on a trial to observe if the symptoms improve.
Hope that helps.I shall be glad to have you in follow-up with further questions on this.
