Suggest Treatment For Tingling Sensation In The Right Thigh

default
Posted on Mon, 2 Jan 2017
Question: I have had tingling in my right thigh for awhile, but fell about 7 days ago and since then it hurts all the time and "burns". Heat seems to relieve it some, but it keeps me up and down day and night.
I'm worried that it may be something more serious or a blod clot from the fall. I actually dislocated my left shoulder and fractured the bone at the joint. Not sure if that could be a symptom of blood clot.

Brief Answer:
Probably nerve damage.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Tingling in calf region is mainly caused by conditions that involve nerve(s) damage.

The nerves may be compressed during their pathway, or can be damaged by conditions such diabetes, viral infection, alcohol, low vitamin B12 etc.

If the falling was accidental ( no neurological symptoms such loss of consciousness, limbs weakness, speech and vision issues etc.) you shouldn't worry about any blood clot.

Most likely there was a previous nerve damage on your calf that has worsened after the trauma.

Calf blood clots are accompanied by signs such swelling, redness, pain.

However, clinical examination by your primary care Doctor is necessary to understand better your condition.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Kind regards.
