Brief Answer:
PET is the surgical procedure your ENT Specialist may go for!!!

Detailed Answer:
I welcome you here at HCM and feel sorry for this issue of the Eustachian tube (ETD called eustachian tube dysfunction). I have thoroughly reviewed your case and can realize the discomfort you have right now.

It's all started due to the ascending infection from oral cavity (dental malpractice you stated right). Now to keep the middle ear aerated and maintain the pressure inside the air (the same as the atmospheric pressure) we need to go for a Pressure Equalization tube (PET) inside the ear. Your ENT Surgeon can help you for that. This is the surgical option we have for you right now.

Your symptoms of tinnitus blocked ear and other ones are due to the same issue. Infection is one big factor that aggravates the issue so your surgeon will first put you on broad spectrum antibiotics to cover major pathogen and then will perform the procedure.

Sometimes we need to put the tube in for months sometimes for years. Sometimes a single tube works and sometimes we need to replace the old one.

Hope it helps. Please ask for more assistance if you need. I am here to help. For future reference simply click on: tinyurl.com/drhanifmd
