Brief Answer: Need dental consult Detailed Answer: Hi Thanks for posting your query on HealthcareMagic. It is possible that you have developed a dental cavity. It means that infection of tooth has developed and has involved pulpal tissue. Temporary relief can be provided by placing cotton dipped in formocresol in the cavity. You will also need to take painkiller like aceclofenac TDS and an antibiotic. It will be prescribed by your dentist. These steps will provide temporary relief. The tooth can be saved by getting a root canal treatment done. I will also advise you to maintain good oral hygiene and avoid food lodging in the tooth. Getting the teeth cleaned will also help. Please visit a dentist. Hope it helps. Dr Vaishalee
