Suggest Treatment For Tooth Pain

Question: Hi. As some of you are already aware, my wife has been suffering from excruciating pain due to an infection from a root canal on her wisdom tooth. It has been quite difficult to watch her suffer like this. She took one tab of inflam (ibuprofen 400mg) around 10pm to reduce the pain. After much research and seeing the pain she is suffering, i advised her to take the second inflam (ibuprofen 400mg) at 4.30am with only six hour gap between the first dose. The usual dosage is every 12 hours. Her appointment wih the dentist is at 9am today and hopefully she won't need to take any more painkillers before that. My wife has gastric and is a nursing mother: a six month baby totally dependent upon her breastmilk. Will there be a problem with the inflam administered orally with only six hour gap from the first dosage as regards her health and the baby's health (the amount in the breastmilk)?
Brief Answer:
It is just fine, do not worry.

Hello XXXX
Thank you for posting your query on healthcaremagic.
Taking Ibuprofen 6 hourly is not going to cause any problem. Please relax.
Ibuprofen will not cause any problem to your breastfeeding child.
For gastritis, your wife can take PPi like Omeprazole 20 mg twice a day half an hour before meals to reduce the gastritis, other than that I would not recommend anything else at this point of time.
Toothache can be quite painful, it is ok to take ibuprofen 400mg every 6 hours.
Hope that answers your query. Relax.
Kind regards
