Question: Hi. Traveling overseas to asia later this week, and a bit nervous about the trip. I had Librium prescribed a few years ago for travel anxiety, and it worked wonders. My GP has since retired, but wondering if there is anyway here to get it prescribed.
Brief Answer:
Safe Alternative to librium
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.
The Librium belongs to a group drugs called benzodiazepines. Benzodiazepines affect the chemical balance in the brain and, most particularly, affect a neurotransmitter called gamma-amino butyric acid (GABA). GABA communicates inhibitory messages, helping to balance and offset excitatory messages. Therefore, an Anxiety disorder can be the result of decreased GABA levels. Medications such as Librium can increase the production of GABA.
Unfortunately, not many people are aware that there is a GABA Complex which exists in a powdered form as a dietary supplement. GABA Complex is 100 percent natural, is non-habit forming, and rarely results in side effects. It is available at most natural health stores but, as with all medications and supplements, you should consult a physician before beginning use. Caution must be used in order to avoid overdose which may lead to mild but not lasting side effects.
May I know which country you are going in Asia?
Take care and wish you good health
If you have further query I shall be glad to answer.
