Brief Answer:
Carbamazepine is the drug of choice.

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Thanks for being on healthcaremagic.com.
I am Dr.Ajay Panwar,a neurologist,here to answer your query.

Treatment of Trigeminal Neuralgia can be medical or surgical(if patient do not respond to medicines). Some of the common drugs used in treatment are-
1)Carbamazepine
2)Oxcarbazepine
3)Phenytoin
4)Gabapentin
5)Amitriptyline

If patient is not responding to medicines,Botox(Botulinum toxin injections)may be of help.

To start with,I would recommend Tab.Carbamazepine 100 mg twice a day(PLEASE TAKE ALL MEDICINES UNDER A PHYSICIAN'S GUIDANCE ONLY).

Muro128/NaCl can reduce eye pain,if the cause of the eye pain is Corneal edema.

If you have any further questions,I shall be glad to answer.

Regards
Dr.Ajay Panwar,
MD,DM(Neurology)
