Brief Answer:
Chest pains and Itchy tongue might not be migraine

Detailed Answer:
Hello there, Thanks for coming to HealthCareMagic.

Let me make sure i understand your symptoms before we start working together on a plan of action for your problem.

The way I understand it you symptoms are:

1) Twitching throughout the body - 5 months
2) Chest Pain - Since ? When
3) Itchy Tongue - Since ? When

You have indicated you have a history of migraines. Your existing Neurologist has said that your symptoms could be due to migraines.

Thats what i understand so far. I have a few questions for you:

1) What kind of treatment do you get for the migraines?
2) Has the treatment been successful in controlling your migraines?
3) What symptoms led you to the original diagnosis of migraines?
4) What management did you neurologist recommend when you brought this issue to them?
5) Could you upload the results of the MRI you had here so i can see it?
6) Are you still suffering from the twitching?
7) When did the Chest pain start and when did the itchy tongue start?
8) Could you try and detail the chest pain or me? How does it start? When your exercising maybe? What makes it better? What makes it worse? Does rest help? Have you had an EKG?

In general, since I'm coming at this for the first time, i have trouble ascribing your symptoms to migraines immediately. They COULD be migraine related but before we say that we need to rule out cardiac related issues for the chest pain and we have to rule out dental and oral care issues for the itchy tongue.

So for the chest pain. The first step is to get an EKG and a TreadMill Test and make sure that your heart is not the cause of the chest pain. You are at that age where chest pain is more likely to be related to the heart than any other system. If the EKG and TMT are negative, then that is evidence that the pain is related to migraines.

For the itchy tongue. Are you drinking enough water on a daily basis? Do you have any dental issues? Do you have any difficulty with your sense of taste or smell? Salivary gland issues and infections are the most common cause of such itchy issues.

So try and go over this and answer what you can. I look forward to your reply.

Brief Answer:
Doesn't sound like Migraines, rule out neck issues

Detailed Answer:
Hey there,

I'm glad you are getting an MRI of the cervical spine (neck), but the confusing issue here is that neck issues (for example a herniated disc etc) do not usually present with generalized tremors. I'm thinking it may be related to a medication you are on or the migraines. But am not sure. Would love to have a list of the medications you are taking currently with their dosages.

The chest pain is quite concerning to me too. I'm glad the EKG turned up negative. Keep me posted on the ECHO and x-ray results and we will see if there is anything more that needs to be done there together.

I'm not sure what to do with the itchy tongue just yet. I'm not 100% sure it's related to anything else at the moment. We will put a pin in that symptom and address it when we have more information to work with.

As far as your migraines go, could you tell me what medications you are taking to keep them at bay? Ho do you deal with an attack and what triggers attacks nowadays?

The tenderness at the back of the head and the floaty feeling could be due to migraines as well, but again, i am glad we are ruling out neck issues.

So, to sum up, try and get me a copy of your old and new MRI's. You could always log in through a computer and upload it to our site. We have a webportal at www.healthcaremagic.com.

Alternatively, you could email the scans to YYYY@YYYY and tell them that these scans need to be added to query ID: 140783. You could also upload the scans to something like dropbox and email me a link at YYYY@YYYY

The same goes with your meds. I have a feeling going through them and understanding their actions will be important.

Let me know what you think,

Vin

Brief Answer:
Doesn't sound life threatening at all

Detailed Answer:
Hey there. No it doesn't sound life threatening at all. If there were some problem with the EKG then I would be worried.

We have time, lets be thorough and rule out all issues in a systematic way, otherwise we will skip stuff and waste your time and probably not get anywhere.

You've mentioned your anxiety issues. Is anxiety a big issue for you? Does it affect other aspects of your life? I'd like to know, because some tremors get worse when a person has anxiety issues.

yes I have been very anxious for the past 5-6 months since the "tremors" started. it has made me very nervous and afraid. which I guess has exasterbated my symptoms. I am pretty nervous all the time. ok I will f/u with all the test to continue figuring this out.

in abt a week or so I should have all the test and should have figured out how to upload them to you.

its gonna be a long week......

thank you
