Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Thanks for the query.
The fact that you get muscle twitching could be due to many possible reasons. Commonly chronic fatigue, electrolyte imbalance like low blood calcium or potassium, infections, dehydration etc.
You need to reduce stress in your life by adopting simpler lifestyle. Adopt good posture and ergonomics while at work. Get 6-8 hours of sleep daily. Perform Yoga, Pranayam and deep breathing to help reduce stress. Avoid high protein diet before sleep. Keep well hydrated with 6-8 glasses of water daily. Avoid junk food, oily food, smoking, colas, coffee and alcohol.
Walk briskly daily for 45 minutes and this shall do wonders for your body by increasing circulation and driving away the waste products and metabolites.
Eat a diet rich in calcium like eggs, nuts, fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables, lean meat, chicken, curds.
If you perform these actions, you will find significant benefit in your symptoms and the twitching won't happen.
No need to try any medicaiton as of now. Brufen can damage the stomach and kidney if taken for a while. Kindly avoid the same.
If the symptoms do not reduce in a couple of weeks, then you need to consult your Internist for proper exaimantion, necessary investigations and appropriate treatment accordingly.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
Thanking you.
Regards,
Dr. Aashish Raghu
