Brief answer...given below
Detailed answer....
Hello,
Thanks for the query.
Uncontrolled diabetes and high blood pressure are both very harmful in themselves and they become really very lethal when they occur together in a person.
Diabetes affects nerves and blood vessels of body and therefore it affects all parts of body.
Diabetes contributes to high blood pressure and is linked with high cholesterol which significantly increases the risk of heart attacks ,cardiovascular diseases and strokes.

Your aim should be to control the blood sugar levels meticulously along with proper Control of blood pressure and blood lipid profile.
The aim should be to keep the blood pressure below 120/80,LDL cholesterol below 80 and triglycerides below 150 along with fasting blood sugar around 100 and PP sugar around 150-160.
You must consult an internal medicine specialist or a diabetologist for proper detailed investigations and proper medical therapy for normalising all the biochemical parameters.
There is no reason why it can not be achieved.
Along with proper medicines,he should be encouraged to observe proper diet control and do some regular aerobic exercises like walking for at least 35-40 minutes a day.
I hope it helps, however you may revert to me for any further query.
Best of luck
Thanks
