Question : I have been feeling bad since Sunday evening, Today is Tuesday. My stomach felt queasy and I had extreme pain in my stomach ( upper stomach not abdomen ), I felt somewhat better when I woke up Monday morning so I went to work, after about 2 hours at work I felt extremely nauseous and on my break I began vomiting and feeling dizzy, I went home and continued vomiting on and off for most of the day, anything including water came right back up. I have been sneeing every once in a while but do also have mild allergies and pollen is high right now, Also by Monday afternoon I had severe pain in my entire lower back and both legs, the pain was so intense I could not get comfortable sitting, walking, standing or lying down. ( I have had back problems in the past but it was only on 1 side of my back ). Also have arm tingling and pins and needles in left arrm and leg. also 1 finger on my right hand has started to lock in place. I don't know if this could be the cause of just 1 new condition or a combination of different things. I do not have a good insurance so I hope I will not have to go to a hospital. Getting into a doctor takes weeks. what could this be ? Should I go to a hospital ?

Please give some more details.

Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Before I will be able to tell if its urgent or not, I need to know some more details:
1. What is your blood pressure and heart rate.
2. Do you urinate frequently (during the night).
3. Is your urine dark or stool pale.
4. Does the pain kind of surrounds the abdomen and goes to the back.
5. Do you have fever.
6. Do you have any joints pain, unusual rash on the skin.

I`m looking forward to hearing from you.
Regards.

Brief Answer:
This is not an urgent issue.

Detailed Answer:
Ok, it does not seem urgent. Peptic ulcer seems the most probable reason. As you have been vomiting a lot, surely you are dehydrated. This can lead to kidneys infection and give back pain. Dehydration and ions deficiency can also give tingling and pins and needles here and there.
I suggest you to greatly increase fluids intake. Start potassium and magnesium supplementation. Start cranberries juice intake. Urinate as often as possible. This should help in a day or two. If not, that please go to a doctor.
For possible ulcer, please start Omeprazole 40 mgs a day. Probiotic is a good idea as well.

Regards.
