Brief Answer:
May be intolerance or intestinal infection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi Sir.
Thanks for your query.
Just saw this query which you must have posted about an hour ago.
Read and understood that you are a male of 84, ate the preparation as mentioned and go cramps after a couple of hours - Feeling full but no vomiting - feeling if you could pass, you would feel better.

My thoughts;
There may be either an intolerance to any of the contents or may be a mild infection like food poisoning, which is difficult to say the exact nature of.

I would advise you to take activated charcoal tablets, luke-warm water, try to relax as in such condition one tends to have aerophagia, meaning swallowing air which in turn increases the discomfort.
If the pain is no severe, try to avoid the antispasmodic medicine as it acts by relaxing the muscles of the intestine, thereby increasing the emptying time of the gases and food products
In the event of associated symptoms like feeling feverish, passing of foul smelling gas or eructations, it may be wise to take an antibiotic, metronidazole, probiotic and symptomatic treatment like Domperidone for nausea / vomiting and Paracetamol for fever.
If thee are no associated symptoms, you may please have a wait and watch policy.
Considering the age of 84, I would request you to see a Doctor if you develop any associated symptoms as mentioned above so that the Doctor can check you for the vitals, the abdomen to decide you need any active treatment.
I hope that you do not have any pre-existing medical condition like diabetes or hypertension.

I also hope that this answer helps you, please feel free to ask further if you need to or if you feel that there is a gap-of-communication.
