Suggest Treatment For Upper Abdominal Pain While Suffering From Stomach Ulcers

default
Posted on Thu, 18 May 2017
Question: I asked a doctor about my stomach issues 5 days ago. He responded with good information and recommendations. He felt the "" most common cause of localized pain is stomach ulcers (open sores on the inner lining of the stomach). Initially i would suggest you to go for upper gastro intestinal endoscopy test to rule out pressence of ulcers in Gi tract or inflammation of mucosa.""

My Question. Will I be able to resolve such troubles as an ulcer of the GI tract or inflammation of the mucosa with the doctor's recommendation by taking the Pantoprazole 40 mg once daily along with antacids twice daily for few days?

The symptoms have already resided. Can I expect my body to heal itself in a certain range of time if I follow the doctor's orders?

Thank you

Brief Answer:
Yes antacid and proton pump inhibitors will definitely help.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Thanks for the query.
Have gone through your previous question and answer by doctor.
As per the answer it has been recommended that initially take a proton pump inhibitor and antacid because pain caused due to ulcers or mild erosion's in gastric or duodenal mucosa typically responds to these medicines.
Just on the basis of history without even physically examining the patients its very difficult to tell you the exact cause because most of the patients more or less have the same symptoms and gastric pain is often mimicked by cardiac pain.
So most likely the doctor was in opinion that if the pain responds to them that drifts the diagnosis more towards presence of ulcers.
Without an endoscopy or direct response to particular medicines its rather impossible to tell you the exact cause.
Yes so definitely you will be helped by pantoprazole and antacids however to promote healing of ulcers(which can only be confirmed by endoscopy) oxitecaine should be taken 15ml in half cup of water twice daily.

While antacid will neutralize acid in stomach and pantoprazole will stop building up of acid;oxetacaine will promote healing of the injured mucosa.
So as far the opinion by previous Doctor is concerned it was good.My only suggestion is to add oxetacaine to the regimen.

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Take sucralfate.

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,

In that case you can take sucralfate. Its available in USA and is a ulcer healing medication.
10 ml of sucralfate is to be taken once daily before going to bed for 1month initially.

Hope it was helpful.
Thank you.
