Question : My husband is experiencing pain in his upper abdomen. He had surgery to remove a small part of his small intestine a few years ago because of Meckel diverticulum. This came on suddenly today. No nausea, no vomitting, no problem with bowel movement, no apparent fever. His appendices was removed during surgery for Meckels. He's taken two Aleve and has had Pepto but ho help. Any ideas?
Brief Answer:
Send him to ER to get checked by general surgeon to rule out bowel blockage
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
I am sorry for the situation your husband is in.
Taking into account that he had a previous surgery for Meckels, and the pain has been suddenly set today; I highly recommend to go to ER and get further evaluated by a general surgeon to rule out possible blockage of bowels.
