Brief Answer:
Initial 1 to 2 days ice pack application.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM

I have gone through your query. Initial 1 to 2 days you can do ice pack application. This you can apply on and off for 15 to 20 minutes. This can be repeated 3 to 4 time in a day. After 2 days you can do hot fomentations. Applying ketoprofen or diclofenac (volini) gel for local application is also good. You can also take ibuprofen (motrin) twice daily after food.

Sleep in hard mattress. Avoid high pillows for neck. Better to use orthopaedic pillow. Keep a pillow under knees also.
If again after 3 days no improvement then you may need prescription muscle relaxants like thiocolchicoside and physiotherapy. For that you can approach your GP.

Let me know if anything not clear.
I am happy to help you.
Thanks.
