Suggest Treatment For Upper Back Pain

Question: i have upper back pain for couple of months now , its on and off, mostly i get it when i sit for long hours in office, please let me know how to avoid it.

Brief Answer: Life style changes, medicines, physiotherapy.. Detailed Answer: Hi, Back pain which are chronic in nature needs detailed evaluation to understand the cause. Based on your description, it seem to be a mechanical pain related to office ergonomics. I recommend that you sit straight with foot resting on the feet firmly. Use a chair that comforts you. And take frequent breaks for short walks and exercise throughout the day. You should also consider visiting a doctor / physiotherapist if ergonomics doesn't help you much.
