Brief Answer:
GERD: Practical tips on overcoming it.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

You are right. There really is a simple solution.

1. After reading your question and the information provided very carefully, I have come to a provisional diagnosis of GERD.(Gastro Esophageal Reflux Disease).

2. Typically, I'd like to ask you whether, you have stomach upsets after eating a meal?

3. Do you feel better (slightly) after taking Lanzol? Or any antacid (stomach upset drugs)?

4. Do you feel hassled?

5. Probably, you really haven't any difficulty in swallowing food, yet it seems to erupt into a stomach upset AFTER swallowing it. You might feel that this has happened to you.

6. I'd treat my patients like this,

1. Ask them to chill. (Stress, Pressure, Tensions spark it off)
2. Ask them to avoid foods that they have found to "trigger off" upsets. Regardless of how tasty and alluring the food is. Of course, they can have such meals now and then. Within bounds of reason.
3. I would ask them to take Pantoprazole + Domperidone combination. I hate to say this but I really wish I could give you a prescription over the internet, but it's not possible, so... kindly visit your favourite doctor and be very vocal about these stomach upsets you're experiencing, and they will give you something just like it.
4. Please take the medication an hour before your meal.
5. Please eat frequent small meals.

I strongly feel that it's very probable that you have GERD.

I'd also advise you to take an H.Pylori "Kit". It's a medication that zaps germs in the stomach that cause such issues. Just to be on the safe side.

Warm wishes,
Dr. Neel Kudchadkar

Yes. The above advice holds true for men too.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

A man can take the exact doses of medication and the same natural means employed in the question that was posted earlier.

It's been great knowing you, and for this opportunity, I am grateful and excited.

Please feel free to post any further queries.

Hi XXXXXXX
So what is the H.pylori kit? Is it available without prescription?
My husband is being sent for gastroscopy and colonoscopy in a few weeks time. Should he wait till there is a result from those procedures
I had that complaint myself about a year ago and I was put on a course of 3 medications that included 2 antibiotics. Is this the same thing?
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Bingo. All you wanted to know about pre-test H.Pylori kits.

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX

It is called the H.Pylori Kit for short. That's because it zaps an evil germ called
Helicobacter Pylori, that lives in the stomach, actually FLOURISHES on the acid, and makes merry at your cost.

How?

It causes very painful gastric ulcers (bleeding wounds), that are difficult to diagnose and need all sorts of really embarassing and highly unpleasant (for most people), tests like gastroscopies and colonoscopies.

You are absolutely right.

You had mentioned that you had taken some medications for a similar purpose.

I highly recommend lanzoprazole, metronidazole, tetracycline and bismuth subsalicylate. This is a type of so called 'H.Pylori Kits' that exist. I'd love to write a prescription but we cannot send them across international boundaries so you can get one from your favourite local doctor.

In any case, they do not interact with most medications used for other common illnesses and are not harmful or addictive in any way. I seriously think that these are OTC'S, all of them.

Also, gastroscopies and colonoscopies can 'reveal' hidden issues, so the practical point since you've spent your precious time, money and energy scheduling one, why not (the patient) undergo it? It isn't that bad, not nowadays, at least in 2015, so far as I know.

You are free to take the "kit" (it's medical slang:), before or after this event.

Warm wishes,
Dr. Neel Kudchadkar
