Suggest Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection And Genital Herpes

default
Posted on Sat, 4 Feb 2017
Question: I have a distension at the urination point of my penis and there are small red bumps on the rim of the head of the penis. My girl friend currently has a urinary tract infection and also genital herpes but hasn't had an outbreak for some time. I am in considerable pain and wondered did I get her uti or have I possibly contracted the herpes virus? What medications or herbs would you recommend?

Brief Answer:
most likely, you have contracted the herpes virus

Detailed Answer:
Thank you so much for your question. I will do my best to help.

Based on your description, it seems like the most likely explanation for your symptoms is that you have contracted the herpes virus from your girlfriend. UTI's are rare for men, though not impossible, but the red bumps almost certainly suggest that herpes is the cause. Pain while you urinate could be a symptom of both, but certainly would be explained by the herpes as well.

Even if she hasn't had an outbreak in a long time, and even if she didn't have any active lesions recently, it is still possible for her to shed enough virus to cause you to get infected.

I would recommend that you see a doctor and get a prescription for Valtrex or Acyclovir as these would help get rid of the symptoms quicker. They are not a cure, but they will help you feel much better.

I hope this helps, please let me know if you have any more questions.
Regards
