Suggest Treatment For Urinary Tract Infection In A Child

Question: Hi Doctor,

My daughter is 4 years old and complaining about stomach pain once in a day, especially when feeding.She has faced urinarytract infection since child, hence made CUE test.
few parameters are not normal
appearance-slightly hazy pusscells-10-15/HPF.

Is it URI do I need to seed doctor.Do we need to start medication.
Any home remedies?
She drinks lot of water at least 2 liters per day.
Please suggest.

If not URI could it be gastric pain.i feel her abdomen is tight.

Urine with 10 to 15 pus cells is suggestive of urinary tract infection. Pain abdomen is also due to this.

Kindly do urine culture test also.

Drink plenty of fluids. In my opinion, cefixime should be started as it covers the most common organisms causing UTI at this age. It should be started after giving sample for urine culture test.

An examination by doctor should also be done so that we may not miss any important finding.
