Question : Hi Doctor,

I have been married for a month. I am unable to do proper intercourse. I am finding it difficult to insert penis into vagina. I feel my wife is not getting wet there, it feels very dry. Even if I try force fully, I feel like my skin is being pushed back, I was not feeling comfortable. Even my wife is telling that she is getting pain when I did that.

I am unable to maintain hardness for more time. When I try once/twice and it fails, my penis is losing hardness.

I tried doing with condom. Just after putting the condom I am losing the hardness.

Please help us. Can we use commercially available lubricants from durex/moods. Are they safe.

What are the chances of getting pregnancy if we do intercourse without condom. I heard of some tablets which can be used by women to not get pregnancy. Please advise us.

Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Yes commercially available lubricants can be used

Detailed Answer:
Dear XXXXXXX
Thanks for using healthcaremagic.

From the available narration of your problem it appears to me that both of you are first timers and this kind of problem commonly encountered because of lack of knowledge.
I advice you to following things from next love making session
1. Devote at least 30 minutes in fore play including fingering, kissing, caressing- this will increase the excitement level for your partner and lubrication will be there to allow proper penetration without any discomfort.
2. Use of cream on penis and vagina. For this purpose you can use durex embrace pleasure gels. These are well tested and no reported side effects other than allergy.
3. Never be forceful. Allow more time and ask your partner to guide you. With cooperation from both partners you will come to know better techniques suitable for both of you.

I must say there is chance of pregnancy in 90 % cases in period of three months. If you are not planning for baby it is better to use contraceptives. Using condom is one option but other than this there are multiple options. The condom is safest as it is not associated with any side effects. In case you find difficult to use condom oral contraceptive pills(OCP) are second best option.
If there is any contraindication for using than Copper T can be used as it has good efficacy and very few side effects.

'Hope I have answered your query. If you have any further questions I will be happy to help".
Thanks
