                                            Question : Hello.
Recently I became itchy in the crease of the inner labia above the clitoris, more on the right side, so I scratched at night and woke up thinking I shouldn't scratch, but sooth it with a cream I use sometimes, that is a German diaper rash cream. However, I think I irritated it too much. I left the cream on over night and washed it out the next day. When my boyfriend and I began foreplay the next day, we both noticed I had a bump in the folds above the clitoris and a larger bump inside the folds in the area where there had been irritation. Neither bump causes me pain but if I press down on my pubis above the bump I can feel discomfort, soreness.
Is this something that will go away by keeping it clean and not irritating it?
Thanks,
XXXX

                                    Brief Answer:
Seems to be folliculitis, apply topical antibiotic
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for being at healthcaremagic
According to your complaints it seems to be folliculitis.
If I was your treating doctor I would recommend you to wash the area with water only, keep it clean and dry and avoid using diaper rash cream.
Instead apply a topical antibiotic like neosporin ointment on the bumps twice daily for 5-7 days.
This should resolve them.

Dr Asmeet
