Question : Hi. I have a what looks like a deep cut on the inside of my vagina caused by my husbands fingernail. It is very painful especially when urinating. It's been one week and no relief. What should I do?

I have gone through your query. Hot fomentation will be helpful for this. You can dip a small towel in hot water and drain water from towel and apply. After that you can apply betadine ointment. Avoid sexual intercourse till it heals. Applying warm water while urination will decrease the burning feeling also.

If there is no improvement after 1 week or worsening then approach a gynecologist for surgical repair.

Betadine ointment you can get in any pharmacy (medicine shops). Fomentation is a process of doing warm compress. This you can do with a small towel or cloth. Dip towel in hot water. Squeeze out the water and apply the warmth. After that you can apply betadine ointment.
