Brief Answer:
Should also exclude mitochondrial disorder.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your multiple symptoms, as well as the Neurology consult notes.

I agree that you have a lot of symptoms of autonomic dysfunction, however, the tests you have undergone may not reveal vagus nerve dysfunction. There are a different set of autonomic function tests, which would reveal any autonomic dysfunction. These include- ice cold immersion test, isometric hand grip test, val salva maneuver test, postural hypotension test (change in BP on changing position from lying to standing), etc.

In view of your symptoms (neuro, eye, gut, etc), you should also be investigated for a mitochondrial disorder, such as MNGIE (mitochondrial neurogastrointestinal encephalopathy disease). Examination of retina (eye) along with muscle biopsy will help in this.

Also, I am afraid, in view of your multiple symptoms, you may be labeled "functional" (symptoms of psychological origin), as is evident from the neurology consultation notes, especially if all the test report come out as negative.

As of now, you blood reports do not suggest any immunosuppression, however, mild infection may have been present at the time of testing.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Thank you for a quick reply. I will scan more medical tests /results to upload to you. I do have that fear that doctors look at my history and say it's all in my head. It's happened. I'm finally coming back into my own body after 48 years of basically, being dissociated. I know my body. Something is wrong.
That was a venting. I will upload more information.

Hello again,
I have uploaded partial reports of my medical hx so far. There will be more sections. I realize it is a lot! However, I am truly looking for some answers and a 2nd opinion. I am on Long Term Disability now and have even lost my job because of where I work (too dangerous to be dizzy or imbalanced).

If anything, you may be able to give me further possibilities and tests I may explore.

Thank you very much, XXXX

Brief Answer:
Seen all the reports.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for sending the reports.

I have gone through the reports that you sent. They are within normal limits and do not suggest a specific diagnosis.

Please let me know of any other reports, and get the tests done (as suggested in my first reply).

Best wishes,
