Question : My leg is constantly swollen and aches. More recently additional sharp pain in the knee. Varicose veins. What is the best relief?

surgery is best option for varicose veins.

Detailed Answer:
Hi I am Dr Gopal Goel Orthopedic Surgeon.
In my opinion if you are constantly suffering from swelling in the legs - go for surgery to block / remove varicose veins . If you do not want surgery at present then try compression stockings.
For knee pain take pain killers and get X rays of the knee joint to assess osteoarthritis.
