Question : Hi,

My dad age is 64 year and recently he is feeling vertigo while he is walking and he is also patient of Asthma from last 4-5 years. His also suffering from arthrits.

I have noted your father's symptoms and MRI brain report.

MRI brain shows features of ischemia (lack of blood supply to brain). It is a minor problem and can be easily treated.

He should be started on clopidogrel tablets, to prevent lack of blood supply to brain.

Piracetam tablets would also help him.

1) can I continue with physician only or need to look Neurologist?
2) Is this the reason for vertigo?
3) Please also suggest some medicines.

1. Please show the patient and MRI report to a neurologist.

2. Vertigo is not due to the brain MRI findings.

3. Clopidogrel and piracetam tablets as suggested above. Betahistine tablets for relief of vertigo.

Just last opinion I m sorry for multiple follow up.

This diagnose was for vertigo we have already done following medication.

1) postural hypertension - negative
2) Ent inner issue - negative
3) brain MRI - negative

Please suggest next step for vertigo diagnose and possible causes.
