Question : When I awoke, the room was spinning from left to right for about 15 seconds.
Brief Answer:
Vertigo most likely.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM.
I have gone through your query. Your problem can be due vertigo. Nasal congestion which gives ear problems can cause this also. Taking nasal decongestants also can give such temporary episodes. Check your blood pressure also. Dehydration and changes in blood pressure also can give this.
If it is a single episode then nothing to worry. If it is recurring then an examination by ENT specialist should be carried out. If recurring again then a short of medications like meclizine or cinnarizine will be helpful.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
