Answered by Dr. Nishad BN (20 minutes later)
Brief Answer:
Cause should be identified initially.

Detailed Answer:
Hi

Thank you for asking HCM.

I have gone through your query. Most vertigo are benign and short lived. Vertigo should be differentiated whether it is central or peripheral. A consultation with an ENT specialist and manoeuvres will help you to find whether it is central. In case of central ones MRI or CT will be needed to rule out any problems in brain. Ear problems should be ruled out also.

If all these are fine then it can be due to benign vertigo. Change in position like getting up from bed can increase this. Drugs like meclizine or cinnarizine will be helpful for this.

Blood pressure should be checked for wide variations also.

Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
