Sounds like a possible allergy manifeatstaion!!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about these symptoms that you have reported. These symptoms are suggestive of an allergic terrain. I find it difficult to attribute to viral infections. Viral infections would not often cause itching.

I will suggest that you get a trial of antihistamines like Zyrtec as recommended by your pharmacist. Use it continuously and let's see what difference this make in the frequency and severity of your symptoms.

In all, possible allergic symptoms. Trial of antihistamines like Zyrtec or Benadryl as recommended by your pharmacist for evaluation of symptoms severity and frequency. Decision to carry on or not would depend on the results obtained!

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thank you so much for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.

Hi and thanks for this follow up precision.

Zyrtec is not used to treat infections as it is not an antibiotic. If this is the drug your doctor suggested, then am not sure if she was talking of an infection. Infections would rarely present with dry skin. I will like that you ask her if she is so sure about this just to make sure we are talking of the same thing.

Benadryl can serve in place of Zyrtec, but has more side effects of which the major is daytime sleepiness. If you cannot afford zyrtec, then you may be able to cope with the side effects.

Give it a try, report your progress and lets' work together on this.

I hope to hear from you. Keep me updated.

Brief Answer:
Okay!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and let me know when you get it.

I will suggest that because you already have ciprodex ear drops, use it and let's see whether you get significant improvement from it. If you should, then it might be the solution. If you should not get relieved from taking ciprodex, i would strongly recommend that you try zyrtec. Taking both at the same time would make it difficult to tell which has been very helpful as they have different actions.

I hope this helps. I wish you well.
