Question: I have been vomiting for 3 days with hot sweats. I haven't eaten properly since Saturday morning, have since vommitted every thing up with half an hour on ingestion.

I went to a GP and he advised I take hydralytes which I have been but the vomitting hasn't stopped.

I've lost approx 10kg and feel very lousy and nauseous.

Brief Answer:
Yes, you need a drip!

Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.

I am so sorry to hear about this continued vomiting. The extend of weight loss and the inability to keep anything down means that you are actually in severe dehydration. I will suggest that you get a drip for fluids and electrolytes replacement as well as some energy. Also, glucose in the drip would be very helpful. This should be treated as a matter or urgency.

I hope this helps. I wish you well. Feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be. Above all, thanks for using our services.
