Brief Answer:
Acute Gastro-enteritis

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

It seems that your 1.7 years child is suffering from acute gastro-enteritis.Since the child is vomiting he or she will need IV fluids,Injectable anti-emetics, preferably first line antibiotics also parenterally till vomiting stops and he or she can retain drugs or oral rehydration solution . Also we have to assess the degree of dehydration ,presence of any metabolic acidosis.Hence needs to be seen by a doctor preferably child specialist and needs hospitalization. It is difficult to suggest /prescribe medicines for 1.7 yea old child without examining the patient.
